Back in February, Ampera, Vauxhall’s ground-breaking electric car, which has already won some 25 awards throughout Europe and most recently was awarded European Car of the Year 2012, was showcased to Fleet Decision Makers and Company Car Drivers at a series of Ampera Road Shows.
These 2 hour events, which gave over 2,280 fleet prospects the opportunity to test drive the new Ampera and Vauxhall’s ecoFLEX range were a great success in converting customers to electric vehicle technology.
The event certainly created a buzz around Ampera in its pre-launch phase; increasing awareness; confirming Vauxhall’s leadership in electric vehicle technology and generating pre-launch consideration within he fleet sector.
Ampera is undoubtedly the only electric vehicle on the market designed for everyday use and Graymatter were thrilled to be part of this event, creating graphics and designing an innovative iPAD mobile application to collect customer feedback. The results of the feedback were fantastic and confirm Ampera’s stance as a credible company car choice with over 95% of participants scoring the car 8/10 in terms of finding the drive useful. Nearly half of participants suggested they would consider Ampera for their next car and over 1,300 rated the Ampera 10/10 overall. Consideration for the vehicle and electric technology increased significantly as a result of the event and the data collected will be used by Graymatter in future Vauxhall fleet communications.
