Vauxhall's website allows customers to choose the exact specification of their new car online - from one of the largest ranges on sale in Europe. Our brief is to continuously update the online vehicle specifications and pricing.
Our Technical Author team provides the solution by maintaining the online vehicle data, working with multiple organisations to provide the most accurate information.
Graymatter have been involved with the website since 1998. Our service has expanded to provide supporting data for multiple applications, such as retailer advertising systems. |

| Launch Guide: Meriva |
With the Meriva, Vauxhall entered a new market sector: the mini MPV. Our brief was to produce a Launch Guide that could explain that area of the marketplace to retail sales staff, enabling them to understand their customers' needs, their market competitors and the strengths of the Vauxhall product.
Our solution was an in-depth, informative, sales tool that fully briefed retailers in all aspects of the new vehicle, within a design that reflected the young, family-oriented target audience. |

| Product Demo: Adaptive Forward Lighting (AFL) |
AFL is a headlight system that allows the headlights to 'steer' with the front wheels of the car.
The brief was to develop a promotional CD showcase for use at the product launch and by retailers. Initially Vauxhall considered producing the showcase using traditional video production. Graymatter proved that a much better product could be produced through the creation of a virtual environment, giving full scope to highlight the benefits of the lighting system in realistic driving scenarios - something that would be both considerably more expensive and time-consuming through video production.
The CD continues to be supplied to users and is now available online. |

| Magazine: The Voice |
The brief was simple: to improve the overall design and content of this in-house retailer-focused magazine.
The solution was to focus on relevant editorial and inspirational stories that reflected the brand values and company mission.
The resulting relaunch of the publication was met with great enthusiasm by both the client and the magazine's readership - and it was recently nominated for a magazine award. |

| Product Forum |
Due to the rapidly changing nature of Vauxhall's vehicle range, our brief was to create a website that would allow secure access to business critical information through the relevant communication channel.
The solution was structured to allow multiple levels of secure access, allowing a large user base without compromising confidentiality, with an intuitive content management system.
The site's user base has extended far beyond its original scope and now features a password-free level for Vauxhall retailers. |

| Van Load Advisor |
Vauxhall's large commercial vehicle range often left customers confused about which model would be most suitable for their needs. The brief was to create an interactive solution that allowed customers to calculate the loads they would carry in commercial situations.
The solution allows the user to specify the individual objects that they would want to carry, while the list of suitable vehicles dynamically varies as the system recalculates the payload required.
The Van Load Advisor was such a success that it has since been integrated into the main Vauxhall website. |

| Launch Guide: Tigra |
Launch Guides provide retailers with all the pertinent information about new vehicle launches, including launch timings, training details, aftersales and marketing support. Following our previous Launch Guide successes, we were briefed to produce one for the Tigra convertible; Vauxhall's first model to feature a retractable steel roof.
Our solution provided retailers with a one-stop reference point for the new car, including a detailed Product Information Guide to fully explain the benefits of the important new technical features. |

| DM: VSP Wildcard Promotion |
The VSP (Vauxhall Sales Professional) programme gives Vauxhall's retail Sales Consultants, Sales Managers and Van Specialists the chance to be recognised for their product knowledge and sales.
This integrated solution includes an online brand/product related questionnaire as well as print-based direct mail (DM) to encourage take-up and broaden product knowledge.
Since Graymatter's involvement the take-up has increased from 17% to 60% and more high achievers are being recognised for their hard work. |

| Launch Guide: VX220 |
We were initially briefed to design and produce a guide containing product and marketing information to support the launch of the VX220 Turbo sports car. Along with the Turbo model, the guide needed to promote the existing 2.2i 16v model by helping to relaunch the VX220 brand.
We were able to identify the narrow target market for this niche vehicle and despite tight corporate guidelines and budgetary constraints, our solution displayed a new design approach to Launch Guide production. |
